Making my way to San Anton'
Lord, I ended up in Mexico.
I was chasing Marie and a memory,
I was drinkin' out in Laredo.
But that's alright,
'Cause she's gonna be my baby tonight.
She took me home to Juarez,
And now we're running guns in the moonlight.
So I headed up north to New Orleans,
Instead I made it out to Tennessee.
I was sippin' moonshine and a bottle of wine,
With a girl I met in McKenzie.
But that's alright,
She's gonna be my baby tonight,
She got me all tongue tied,
and out here chasin' fireflies.
So cut me out a road,
Take me wherever the wind blows.
And let it cut through my toes,
As I hang 'em outside of the window,
Of the car we're driving down the highway,
To the next town.
Drove all the way to New York City,
I heard them big city lights, yeah, they look real pretty.
I was missin' Arizona and the place I call home,
Sat on down and wrote this little ditty, Alright. Alright.
She's gonna be my baby tonight,
If she callin' me back to the desert, well, I just might.
So cut me out a road,
Take me wherever the wind blows.
And let it cut through my toes,
As I hang 'em outside of the window,
Of the car we're driving down the highway,
To the next town.

Saw this guy playing solo, supporting Justin Townes Earle in a pokey pub in downtown Adelaide, & doing most of the songs from this EP. It was a killer set, this guy is a great talent. ian green
